Moving the 2020 Subaru Impreza forward is the 2.0-liter Dual-Overhead Cam Direct-Injection SUBARU BOXER® four-cylinder that is horizontally opposed and contains a Dual Active Valve Control System. With the standard fully synchronized five-speed manual transmission, performance reaches 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque, and fuel efficiency achieves up to 36 MPG on the highway and 28 MPG in the city. The Lineartronic® Continuously Variable Transmission is standard on the Premium trim.

Trim Level Breakdown

The following trim levels are available with the new Subaru Impreza in both sedan and five-door versions:

The Impreza entry-level trim grips the road with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and Vehicle Dynamics Control. It keeps you connected through the SUBARU STARLINK™ Multimedia with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™.

The Impreza Premium builds on the entry-level trim by adding EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology, SUBARU STARLINK® Safety and Security, and 4G LTE Wi-Fi. The All-Weather Package warms up cold days with heated front seats. The multimedia system gets a 6.5-inch screen.

Impreza Sport adds to the Impreza Premium features using 18-inch alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter handle, and body-color rocker spoilers and trunk spoiler. The interior gets Sport Cloth upholstery with red stitching and an 8-inch screen for the multimedia system.

The top-level Impreza Limited trims its seats in leather, pampers with a six-way power driver’s seat, and ensures a comfortable environment with the automatic climate control system.


The interior of the 2020 Subaru Impreza accommodates up to five people with lots of room and soft-touch materials, such as leather. Folding back the 60/40-split rear seatbacks increases cargo room from 20.8 to 55.3 cubic feet.
