  • Fuel Economy: The Outback offers a slightly higher fuel economy than the Crosstrek does, with an estimated 32 mpg on the highway and 25 mpg in the city compared to 30 mpg on the highway and 23 mpg in the city in the Crosstrek.
  • Engine power: The Outback offers a more powerful standard engine than the Crosstrek, along with an available engine option while the Crosstrek is only offers one engine. The standard Outback engine offers 175-horsepower while the Crosstrek offers 148-horsepower.
